Not only is Sitges beautiful in every respect, from its quaint, narrow streets to its beautiful beaches but in terms of sheer convenience for the gay holiday maker, there's nowhere else like it. Everything from the gay bars to the gay discos to the gay restaurants to the gay beaches to the gay cruising area to gay shopping to your gay hotel are all within a 5 minute walk of each other. It's the perfect gay holiday in a neat little package! Diversity is the norm in Sitges rather than the exception and people from all walks of life are made welcome. If you've always wondered what the world would be like if we could all live side by side without sexual orientation being an issue, this is where to see how it's done! If you've never been to Sitges, you really don't know what you're missing. It has a very special culture. It may not be blatantly obvious at first, but once you take a step back, relax and watch what's going on around you, you'll realize what a very special place Sitges is. Come and see what fun we're all having, get to know the locals and their habits, and have a holiday like you've never had before! Sitges is located 35kms south of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. See the 'All about Sitges' page for more details.

You can book your hotel here at GaySitges.com at the best rates available. We've even chosen the hotels we know to be the most popular with gay folk. Hotels & B&B

Gay Sitges Daily Blog - Never judge a book by its cover. The cover is what we want you to see. What's inside is where the man is.
29th. What is it they say? Imitation is the highest form of flattery? Good, 'cos I'm noticing it happening a hell of a lot lately, actually, not just lately, but for the last 2 years its been increasingly noticable. I'm really quite pleased about it though, because the same people who are imitating GaySitges.com (albeit in a different format), are the very ones that once told me I was doing everything wrong with this site. Guess I haven't got it so wrong then, 'cos GaySitges.com is still Nº 1 in God's eyes (Google). There's a lot to be said for KISS.
That probably all went over your head if you don't live in Sitges, but here's something that you're bound to understand, wherever on Earth you are....
Go Obama! - Let's see you turn the world up-side-down, or is that, the right-way-up? I'm not into politics, but what a kick in the teeth it would be to have a negro (The Spanish word for 'black' is 'negro') president of the United States of America!!! - Never thought I'd see it in my lifetime, but its gonna happen, 'cos Europe (where the real power is now) wants it to happen!
28th. That's another Fiesta Mayor over with. The next big event in Sitges is Santa Tecla on the 22nd & 23rd of September, which is a mini version of Fiesta Mayor. All the same stuff but with children and a 15 minute rather than 30 minute firework display. See the Events page.
27th. We have th details for this year's International Film Festival of Catalonia, held in Sitges. See the Events page.
26th. You've heard it, I've heard it, everybody's heard it...."Sitges is expensive" - but will someone please tell me where Sitges is expensive compared to? I've recently been doing a lot of traveling around spain and I'm totally confused as to where everyone is getting that idea. Don't tell me Benidorm is cheaper, not at 4€ a beer it's not! Don't tell me Madrid is cheaper, not at 6€ a beer it's not. Don't tell me Ibiza is cheaper either, at 6€ a beer there too. That's all compared to just 3€ a beer in Sitges, and that's not counting Sitges' amazing generosity where half the time you get 2 4 1 anyway, which works out at 1.50€ a beer!!!
All I can conclude is that the travel editor of Gay Times in the UK, which is my only guess as to where this scare mongering started, must not have got laid when he came to Sitges and has written a bitter price review in revenge.
Sitges is NOT expensive, at least not compared to everywhere else in Spain I've been to recently, nor that I've been to in the last 10 years I've lived here, which includes almost every main town in Spain.
Whoever is doing this 'high price' mongering, which has almost even got us Sitgens believing it ourselves, needs to take a trip to Barcelona, Madrid, Gran Canaria, Torremolinos, Ibiza, Mykonos, Paris, London, New York, Key West, Sydney, San Francisco, Miami, Beijing etc, etc, etc, and then they'd know what expensive is!
Tonight the theme for the weekly GBP at Atlántida disco is 'Handbag', with music from the likes of Madonna, Kylie, Mylene etc.
25th. So did I miss anything while I was away? - Apart from the best of Fiesta Mayor, that is. Did it rain? Not a drop where I was :-)
24th. On holiday.
23rd. On holiday.
